Schulman Theater project to open at Frisco Market Center

Frisco, Texas Schulman Theater said Wednesday it is opening a $10 million, 50,000-sq.-ft. City Lights Theatre at Frisco Market Center in Frisco, Texas.

The theater is slated to open May 2011 at the 88-acre, master-planned project owned by Dallas-based Hermansen Land Development. Frisco Market Center will feature retail, restaurant, high-density multi-family, lodging and entertainment. City Lights Theatre will complement existing anchor Main Event, which opened earlier this year, the planned 66,000-sq.-ft. retail and office building scheduled to break ground early 2010 and the new Marriott.

Several additional restaurants, retailers and entertainment users are also in discussions with Hermansen about the project.

Construction on the theater is expected to start in May.
