New York - RKF has arranged two leases totaling 2,680-sq.-ft. at 1200 Madison Ave. on the Upper East Side of Manhattan with beauty retailer Bluemercury and upscale Scotland-based knitwear company Brora. The new Bluemercury, scheduled to the week of Oct. 6, will occupy 1,705-sq.-ft. and will be the brand’s second location on the Upper East Side.
RKF executive VP Karen Bellantoni, senior associate Tess Jacoby and John Auber of The Auber Group represented Bluemercury on this transaction, while RKF VP Beth Rosen, along with Marc Yassky of Shopco Properties LLC, represented the owner, 1200 Tenant Corp.
The second lease at 1200 Madison Ave., totaling 975 sq. ft., represents upscale Scottish clothing brand Brora’s first U.S. location. Rosen and Yassky again represented the owner on this transaction, while Robin Abrams and Alan Victor of Lansco represented Brora.
Bluemercury and Brora will share the block with building co-tenants Crewcuts, Joie, Jack Rogers, Margo Manhattan and Ankasa, and will be in close proximity to other popular area retailers like Brooks Brothers, Theory, Madewell and Lululemon Athletica. RKF has previously represented Bluemercury in two other Manhattan leases in Union Square and the West Village, as part of the brand’s growth in New York and nationwide. With the new location, Bluemercury will have a total of four Manhattan stores.
