ModCloth, the online apparel retailer known for its indie and vintage-inspired styles, is opening up its first permanent store.
The company will open a 4,000-sq.-ft. location in Austin, Texas, in November,
Bloomberg reported. Other locations are likely to follow.
“The pace is going to be driven by how well store one does,” ModCloth CEO Matt Kaness told
Bloomberg.
ModCloth’s move to the physical space is not unexpected. This past summer, the retailer went on the road with a pop-up, opening for
short stints in five cities, including Austin.
The retailer is also set to launch its first national branding campaign, featuring a new logo, new colors, and a more sophisticated tone,
Bloomberg reported.
