2/26/2015

Cranberry Township, Pa. -- Teen retailer rue21 announced the opening of its flagship, which is located less than one mile from its corporate office. The 8,000-sq.-ft. store includes apparel and accessories for both girls and guys as well as the chain’s newest and fastest-growing division, rue+ plus sizes. The merchandise mix also features fragrance, beauty and room decor.

The new store includes rue21's first-ever interactive area, called the rueLounge. It is equipped with free WiFi, a cellphone charging station, iPads to browse and shop rue21.com, as well as a flat screen TV streaming videos and branded content. The lounge will serve as an area where the teen customers can relax and interact, transforming it into a hangout. A "selfie" area is also visible outside the fitting rooms where shoppers can try on the newest trends and share on social media.

"Our mission is to react to the needs of our customers," said Bob Fisch, president and CEO at rue21. "We will continue to build and grow new categories based on their demands. The teen market is ever-changing and we will adapt and change with it."

Rue21 currently operates 1,120 stores in 47 states.
