Fresh Thyme Farmers Market has big plans

Indianapolis -- Fresh Thyme Farmers Market may have only been in business in three years, but it is thinking big.



With some16 stores in the Midwest, the value-priced, organic specialty grocer is scheduled to open 60 stores by 2019. It will open two new location in the Indianapolis area on Aug. 6.



"These will be our fourth and fifth stores to open in the Indianapolis area, and I cannot say enough great things about the local residents," said Fresh Thyme's CEO Chris Sherrell. "Local is a cornerstone of Fresh Thyme, from sourcing local goods, hiring locally and investing in the communities we serve.”



In addition to Indiana, the company is targeting Minnesota, Illinois, Missouri and Ohio for growth.
