Developers Diversified receives five MAXI awards, including a sustainability nod

3/5/2010

Beachwood, Ohio Developers Diversified announced late Thursday that the company earned two MAXI Gold and three MAXI Silver awards for shopping center marketing and management programs at the International Council of Shopping Centers’ Fusion Conference in Chicago.

In the alternative revenue category, a MAXI Gold was awarded for Developers Diversified and SunEdison’s rooftop solar-panel program. This groundbreaking initiative has monetized the company’s largest unused asset -- its rooftops -- by deploying a national solar-panel program. In addition to a new revenue stream for Developers Diversified, the program reduces common area energy costs for the company and its tenants, and has clear environmental benefits over traditional energy production.

In the integration, joint centers category, a MAXI Gold was awarded to the Centros Isla Quinceaneras 2009 -- 15 para mis Quince program, an integrated marketing program for the company’s 15 shopping centers in Puerto Rico. In the temporary in-line retail, visual merchandising category, a MAXI Silver was awarded to the Every Picture Tells a Story program at the Deer Park Town Center in Deer Park, Ill.

In the business to business, company category, a MAXI Silver was awarded for the Intersections: a B to B Marketing Campaign, based on the results of study and analysis of the company’s brand in the marketplace.

In the visual merchandising, common area display category, a MAXI Silver was awarded to the Stars over Developers Diversified program, a visual merchandising program to lease available space and increase traffic.
