David’s Bridal to open two stores in Ontario, Canada

Vancouver, B.C. X Team International announced that Vancouver, B.C.-based partner Sitings Realty completed two leases for David’s Bridal in Scarborough and Mississauga, Ontario, as the retailer enters the market.

The first store is a planned 10,000-sq.-ft. space located in the Eglington Avenue Shopping Centre in Scarborough. The second store, located in the Meadowvale Shopping Centre in Mississauga, will be 8,000 sq. ft.

Both stores, currently under construction and scheduled to open this fall, are anchored by Walmart and TJX Cos.’ Winners, an off-price retailer of home and apparel fashions.

“Since these are the first two Canadian locations for David’s Bridal, we assisted them with the overall strategy and issues associated with entering into this new market,” said Dan Clark of Sitings Realty. “There are two additional locations currently under negotiation in Ontario and three in western Canada that we look forward to finalizing soon.”

Conshohocken, Pa.-based David's Bridal currently operates more than 280 locations nationwide.
