Raley’s in flagship store opening
Raley’s has opened a new flagship location as the grocer continues to serve customers through the COVID-19 pandemic.
The 55,000-sq.-ft. store, in the Land Park section of Sacramento, Calif., is designed to offer more modern shopping experience centered around Raley’s health and wellness vision. And at a time when many shoppers are opting to stay at home, the new Raley’s can process up to 250 orders for pick-up or delivery per day via the chain’s eCart online ordering platform.
Customers can pick up their orders in covered, pull-through parking spots. The parking is located close to eCart storage, which will significantly reduce the wait time for customers when they arrive, Raley’s said.
The new store, a replacement for an older one located one block away, includes a few design elements that pay tribute to the history of Land Park. The iconic Raley’s monument sign, initially installed at the older location in 1958, was refurbished and reinstalled at the new store in its historic form. In addition, Raley’s pays homage to Sacramento’s Capital Nursery, which previously occupied the space from 1936 until 2012. The nursery’s neon sign hangs prominently on the interior of the store.
Raley’s former Land Park store will remain open until all inventory is sold, providing the community with temporary access to two stores as grocery shopping surges during the COVID-19 crisis.
