Quality Mart enables online ordering, pickup and delivery
A regional Southeast fuel/convenience retailer is rolling out omnichannel fulfillment services at select stores.
As initially announced in April 2022, Quality Mart is making it possible for customers to place digital orders ahead for pickup or delivery at five of its local stores in the Winston-Salem, N.C., area. Quality Mart is the first convenience store retailer to deploy the Swipeby direct ordering platform.
Delivery is available within a 20-mile radius of each store. Customers can also order ahead or at the pump and pick up their orders at the Quality Mart counter.
Signs, a QR code and a video at the pumps will instruct customers how to place an order for pickup on home or office delivery.
For pickup orders, the Swipeby platform offers a geofenced “virtual drive-thru” solution. The technology also allows Quality Mart to acquire customer delivery data it will be able to leverage to better target marketing efforts.
“We’re excited to offer an added level of convenience for our customers with the help of Swipeby,” said Sam Metzler, senior VP with Quality Oil Company, the parent company of Quality Mart. “Customers can order ahead for delivery or at the pump while they are filling their tank. Then, we’ll prepare their order so they can grab it and go. This is an added level of convenience that we think will help us stand out from the competition and make our customers even more satisfied.
