Podium recognizes messaging innovation in retail

A leading customer messaging platform is honoring three multi-location retailers using its solutions to enhance customer engagement and boost revenue.

Podium officially handed out awards in the categories of Innovation, All-Star, and Revenue during its recent Podium Connect Retail Leadership Summit

The Innovation Award
The Innovation Award recognizes a Podium customer solving unique challenges and improving its customer experience through an innovative approach with Podium solutions. The 2021 Innovation Award winner is Jerome’s Furniture, a 25-store retailer based in California. 

Jerome’s Furniture was the first furniture retailer to launch augmented reality (AR), and a Podium customer, it has been using the Reviews, Feedback, Webchat, Videochat, and Payments solutions. Jerome’s has achieved double-digit conversion rates with Webchat and more than $10 million in attributed revenue while processing millions of dollars through Payments. 

The All-Star Award
The All-Star Award recognizes a Podium customer which has had a significant improvement in the quality and quantity of Google reviews collected across multiple locations. The 2021 All-Star Award winner is Coast Appliances, a 17-store appliance retailer that began to automate its review invites with Podium just before the COVID-19 pandemic reached the U.S. and Canada. 

Coast Appliances’ store volume decreased dramatically due to the pandemic, but the company was still able to double its review volume month over month, receiving 1,000 more reviews in 2020 compared to 2019. Many of the results were due to the customer experience shift the retailer had to put in place for its business during the pandemic.

The Revenue Award
The Revenue Award recognizes a Podium customer which has seen an impressive ROI using Podium Payments. The 2021 Revenue Award winner is Mathis Brothers Furniture.

Mathis Brothers Furniture has processed just under $9 million with Podium Payments since April 2020. The company originally adopted Podium for Webchat, but turned on Payments shortly after as a resource to complete all the transaction requests it was receiving. Mathis Brothers is now one of Podium’s top gross payment volume customers. In addition to payment processing, the retailer has received nearly 40,000 Webchat leads since adopting Podium, including 12,000 reviews in 2020 alone.
