Pep Boys is opening new stores on both coasts.
The auto parts/service retailer's newest locations have opened in Astoria, N.Y., Lawndale and Rocklin, Calif., and LaGrange, Ga. The new locations, which are near the metro centers of New York, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Atlanta, include both greenfield and acquisition properties. They were selected for their proximity to both individual and fleet customers.
“The demand for quality service is high, but so is the demand for convenience, and Pep Boys is a one-stop shop that can provide both for our customers,” said Brian Kaner, CEO of service for Pep Boys. “As automotive technology continues to evolve at a rapid rate, investments to expand our capabilities and our network, especially in densely populated areas, will enable us to provide better service to more customers. At the same time, it is the goal of every one of our shops to get to know their neighbors and become a trusted member of their local community.”
Pep Boys opened the new stores as part of a continuing growth strategy that includes the relaunch of its Pep Boys Fleet fleet management service and expansion of its Pep Boys Mobile Crew workplace-based vehicle maintenance service. The company operates nearly 1,000 locations in 35 states and Puerto Rico, including the four new stores.
