The mechanical-bull-riding and beer-drinking complement of most of The Cordish Companies’ huge Live! entertainment districts is about to saunter into Columbus’s Easton Town Center solo.

Opening to the public on March 29, PBR Cowboy Bar + Smokehouse, will offer patrons of the shopping center a new spot to have a drink, eat barbeque, and watch sports that include rodeo, of course. The 8,400-sq.-ft. space will feature multiple signature bars and the only Professional Bull Riders league-endorsed mechanical bull in the region.

The Easton location will be the 15th for PBR. Others are mostly found in Live! districts that include The Battery adjacent to Truist Park in Atlanta, Ga.; Ballpark Village adjacent to Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Mo.; Texas Live! in the heart of the Arlington Entertainment District; Xfinity Live! in Philadelphia’s Stadium Complex; and Nashville Live! in Nashville, Tenn.

“PBR Cowboy Bar + Smokehouse is bringing a new and exciting authentic country western experience to the Columbus market that combines first-class hospitality and entertainment with incredible food,” said Scott Steenrod, chief operating officer of Cordish’s Live! Hospitality & Entertainment division. “As we continue our longstanding partnership with Professional Bull Riders, we are thrilled to debut this concept in Columbus next week.”

PBR Cowboy Bar + Smokehouse will feature a made-from-scratch menu for lunch and dinner. Highlights include shareables such as smoked burnt end queso with local tortillas, cast-iron cornbread with hot honey butter, jumbo fresh wings that are brined for 24 hours, and a variety of tacos and sandwiches featuring in-house smoked meats. The curated drink menu will feature a collection of local and national beers, expansive whiskeys & spirits including flight options, more than 10 specialty cocktails, and wines by the glass & bottle.

The PBR Cowboy Bar + Smokehouse in Columbus has options for large- and small-scale events including happy hours, cocktail parties, galas, concerts, team building, receptions, birthdays, and more, which can feature the restaurant’s signature mechanical bull riding.

“Our PBR Cowboy Bars continue to expand thanks to the growth of our sport, staying true to our brand, and an extraordinary partnership with Live! Hospitality & Entertainment,” said PBR CEO and commissioner Sean Gleason. “To be able to open our 15th location, and first in Ohio, is incredibly exciting for us and for our fans.”

Easton Town Center features over 250 restaurants, shops and entertainment venues. Its recent expansion added 140,000 square feet of new entertainment, restaurant, hotel and retail offerings in addition to 125,000 square feet of new office space now open with living options to come.
