Pacsun implementing RFID at store level

Pacsun is deploying RFID in its stores.

Pacsun is rolling out a solution to improve inventory accuracy and make better replenishment decisions at the store level.

The teen apparel and accessories retailer plans to deploy the iD Cloud Store RFID solution from Nedap across all of its stores, with plans to complete rollout by the end of the first quarter of 2024. Pacsun selected the technology to create a higher level of transparency with store shoppers and fulfill more customer orders. 

Pacsun’s decision to implement the solution was partially driven by Nedap's Virtual Shielding algorithms, which the vendor says can digitally identify article location at 98% accuracy, with an intended result of labor savings.

Foot Locker extends RFID-based inventory management 

New York-based athletic footwear and apparel retailer Foot Locker Inc. is also deploying the Nedap iD Cloud RFID solution. Foot Locker is implementing iD Cloud across more than 650 stores in Eastern Europe. 

Since 2018, Foot Locker has leveraged the iD Cloud platform to streamline inventory management in stores by tracking RFID-tagged merchandise from brands such as Nike, Adidas, and Puma. As a result, Foot Locker has improved long-term accuracy in its store inventory, leading to improved stock availability and reduced stock-outs.
