Report: Target expands ‘Made to Matter’ organic program

Minneapolis – Target Corp. reportedly thinks having a range of organic products matters. According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, Target has selected 31 new brands to participate in the second year of its “Made to Matter” program, which promotes new sustainable, organic and natural goods.



Products featured in “Made to Matter” are exclusively sold at Target for six months. Target plans to double the number of items featured in the program from 100 to 200 by the end of this year. Products include exclusive flavors from Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. “Made to Matter” sales are projected to near $1 billion in 2015, and vendors in the program saw a 30% sales lift for featured items during 2014.
