Panera appoints private-equity investor to board

Richmond Heights, Mo. Panera Bread Co. appointed a private-equity investor, Thomas E. Lynch, to its board of directors.

Lynch is senior managing director of Mill Road Capital. He was appointed as an independent director as of March 5.

Lynch previously worked as managing director of Lazard Capital Partners and a managing director at The Blackstone Group.
