Macy’s Thanksgiving Day plans revealed
The nation’s largest department store retailer is sticking with the plan on Thanksgiving Day.
For the third consecutive year, Macy’s will open its doors at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 22), with most locations, if not all, staying open until 2 a.m. on Black Friday morning, reported BestBlackFriday.com. Stores will reopen on Black Friday at 6 a.m., and close at 10 p.m.
The retailer told USA Today that it surveyed employees to find out their preferences as working on Thanksgiving. Employees who opt to work on the holiday will receive overtime pay.
