Bakers Footwear CFO to Retire

St. Louis Bakers Footwear Group Inc. said Tuesday its CFO Lawrence Spanley Jr. will retire in February. Charles R. Daniel III, currently controller, will replace him and take the title VP of finance and principal financial officer. Spanley spent 16 years at Bakers Footwear.

Also on Tuesday, the company said its fiscal third-quarter loss widened on lower traffic and weak boot sales.
