Online menswear retailer Huckberry opens its first-ever store — with more to come
Huckberry has entered brick-and-mortar retail with its first permanent store.
Founded online in 2011, the brand has built a loyal following through its curated selection of rugged menswear and outdoor gear. Huckberry’s new store, located in the Georgetown section of Washington D.C., brings its experience to life in a space that blends stylish design, in-store exclusives and immersive storytelling. A second store is set to open in time for the upcoming holiday season, in Chicago, with more on the horizon in 2026.
“We wanted it to feel like a manifesto,” said co-founder Andy Forch. “A place where people leave inspired — with a sense of what Huckberry’s all about.”
Part gallery and part gear shop, Huckberry is designed like a great editorial layout — inviting exploration at every turn. Done in collaboration with Austin-based architect Michael Hsu, the store blends clean lines with warm materials that include live-edge redwood and layered wood textures.
More than a place to shop, the Georgetown location will serve as platform for community events, product launches, listening parties and in-store screenings of Huckberry’s original content. Storytelling is built into the store with behind-the-scenes photos from real Huckberry adventures, a replica motorcycle from an employee sabbatical, original visuals (no stock photography), and vintage TVs looping branded video series.
Products include outerwear, casual layers, activewear and travel gear. The selection includes heritage staples such as Filson and Patagonia, house favorites including Flint and Tinder, and emerging brands sourced from Tokyo, Paris, NYC, and beyond.
“This is a dream realized,” said Forch, who grew up just outside D.C. “Georgetown is where I fell in love with gear and adventure — and where I always imagined opening our first store.”
