Old Navy features Jennifer Hudson in omnichannel holiday campaign

Old Navy has tapped an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony (EGOT) award winner to play a central role its holiday promotion.

The specialty apparel retailer, a banner of Gap Inc., is launching a new holiday campaign, "Love is in the House," starring pop singer/actress Jennifer Hudson as the hostess inside an Old Navy "house."

Airing across cinema, social platforms, primetime TV networks, major streaming services and during 34 NFL games, including Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday game days, the promotion features Hudson wearing Old Navy fashions hosting a "house party" featuring performers and influencers as guests.

Other featured campaign participants include dancer and influencer, Lexee Smith; dancer and choreographer Raphael "The Sandman" Thomas; nine-year-old dancer Brody Hudson Schaffer, (“Boss Baby Brody”); and Old Navy's mascot "Magic the Dog." 

"The holidays are my absolute favorite time of year and there is no one who knows how to celebrate the season like my friends at Old Navy," said Hudson. "We had so much fun creating this holiday party together – from the decorations to all the amazing outfits, you can't help but feel transported to a magical winter wonderland. Love was in the house, and we were feeling fabulous."

The campaign also includes Jennifer Hudson's rendition of the classic holiday song "Winter Wonderland" from her newly released, first-ever holiday album, "The Gift of Love," which will be sold at select Old Navy stores during a four-city tour with dates in Brooklyn, Chicago, Los Angeles and Las Vegas between Nov. 24 and Dec. 22, 2024.

"When we learned that Jennifer Hudson was launching her first-ever holiday album, we thought, now is the time to collaborate with an EGOT winner to spread joy in our 'Love is in the House' holiday campaign."
