Office Depot expands same-day delivery options
Office Depot LLC is adding a new online delivery partner.
The specialty office supply retailer is now partnering with same-day delivery platform DoorDash to offer on-demand delivery of products from more than 1,000 Office Depot and OfficeMax stores nationwide. The assortment of products available for online delivery via DoorDash include laptop and desktop computers, printers, ink and toner, cleaning and breakroom supplies, and tech accessories.
Consumers can shop from Office Depot through DoorDash’s marketplace app or website, and get them delivered directly to their doorstep on-demand. Office Depot products will also be available on DashPass, DoorDash’s membership program that offers $0 delivery fees on eligible orders. Office Depot is the first specialty office supply retailer available on the DoorDash marketplace.
Meanwhile, Office Depot has been steadily increasing its omnichannel fulfillment capabilities, both internally and via third-party partnerships, in recent years. Since April 2020, Office Depot and OfficeMax stores have also been offering same-day delivery via the third-party Shipt and Deliv platforms in as little as one hour on qualifying orders. Office Depot is partnering with Shipt and Deliv to enable customers to place orders on the Office Depot website and choose a window for delivery.
In addition, Office Depot recently began offering a new in-store and curbside pickup service called “20 Minute Pickup Promise.” Having been introduced in late 2021 in time for the holiday season, customers can now use the new service by placing a qualifying order online via the Office Depot e-commerce site or mobile app and selecting “In-Store or Curbside Pickup” at checkout at least one hour before the store’s closing time.
