Nordstrom veteran joins eBay as chief comms officer

eBay Inc. has made a new addition to its C-suite.

The global marketplace giant has announced the appointment of Gigi Ganatra Duff as chief communications officer. She will report to chief growth officer Julie Loeger, and lead the global communications team including all internal and external communications, social media, public affairs, ESG communications, the eBay Foundation as well as content.

“Gigi’s demonstrated ability to drive transformative change, build high-performing teams and lead through complex initiatives is exactly what eBay needs as we continue to reinvent the future of e-commerce,” said Loeger. “Her customer focus and empathetic leadership style have consistently delivered results while her deep passion for driving social impact and integrating ESG work into brands aligns perfectly with eBay’s DNA. I am confident her leadership and vision will bring fresh energy and innovation to eBay.”

Duff spent the last seven years at Nordstrom as the VP of corporate affairs. Previously, she served as VP of communications at HSN, Inc. from January 2012 to April 2016. Duff serves on the board of directors at the Fashion Institute of Technology and previously on the foundation board of Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.

Founded in 1995 in San Jose, Calif., eBay enabled more than $73 billion of gross merchandise volume in 2023.
