Nordstrom Rack to open new store at California shopping center
Nordstrom keeps moving forward with expansion of its off-price concept’s footprint.
Nordstrom Rack will open a new store in Pinole, Calif. in fall 2023. The 23,000-sq.-ft. store will be located in Pinole Vista Crossing, a shopping center that includes other retailers such as PetSmart, Target and T.J. Maxx. With the addition of this new location, Nordstrom will operate 60 Nordstrom Rack stores, 23 Nordstrom stores, five Nordstrom Locals and one Asos | Nordstrom in California.
Nordstrom Rack is expanding its footprint in California, with plans to open three other locations in the Golden State in 2023. It also is opening three stores in the Pacific Northwest.

"In addition to shopping the brands they love at a great price, our customers in Pinole can take full advantage of this convenient new location to pick-up online orders and make returns."
Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of Nordstrom Inc., and offers customers up to 70% off on-trend apparel, accessories, beauty, home and shoes from many of the brands sold at Nordstrom stores.
It also offers core services like online order pickup for the Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack e-commerce sites, as well as returns and alterations at select stores. Nordstrom Rack is the largest source of new customers to Nordstrom, according to the company.
Nordstrom Rack is expanding its portfolio
In recent weeks, Nordstrom Rack has announced several new locations, including:
• Nordstrom Rack will open a 29,000-sq.-ft. store at The Village at Allen, Allen, Texas, in fall 2023. With the addition of the Allen location, Nordstrom will operate 19 Nordstrom Rack stores and eight Nordstrom stores in Texas.
• Nordstrom Rack will open a 27,000-sq.-ft. store at Overland Crossing, Overland, Kan. With its opening, Nordstrom will operate three Nordstrom Rack stores and one Nordstrom store in Kansas. The store is scheduled to open in fall 2023.
• Nordstrom Rack will open a 25,000-sq.ft. store at Barrett Place in Kennesaw, Georgia. With its opening, Nordstrom will operate five Nordstrom Rack stores and two Nordstrom stores in Georgia. The store is scheduled to open in spring 2024.
• Nordstrom Rack will open a 31,000-sq.-ft. store at Best in the West, a shopping center in Las Vegas. With the addition of this new location, Nordstrom will operate four Nordstrom Rack stores and one Nordstrom store in Nevada.
Seattle-based Nordstrom Inc. operates more than 350 Nordstrom, Nordstrom Local, and Nordstrom Rack locations, as well as the Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack apps and websites.
