The Paper Store is transforming its store environment with the implementation of a cloud-based, mobile POS solution.
The regional specialty gift retailer is implementing the Jumpmind mobile POS platform across its footprint of more than 100 U.S. stores, replacing a legacy monolithic POS system. By leveraging cloud technology, The Paper Store hopes to achieve enhanced scalability, flexibility, and agility.
Store associates will be equipped with a mobile-first approach, enabling them to execute tasks including inventory management and unified commerce execution. The architecture of the Jumpmind solution is designed to accommodate future advancements in technology and evolving customer expectations.
"We are thrilled to partner with Jumpmind on this crucial technology transformation," said Tom Anderson, CEO of The Paper Store. "Their cloud-native, mobile POS solution aligns perfectly with our vision to deliver a great store associate experience. We believe that by equipping our associates with powerful tools and streamlining their daily tasks, we will be able to elevate the customer experience and meet the evolving needs of our shoppers."
"The Paper Store has a long legacy as a family-owned specialty gift business and are focused on their relationships with the local communities they serve," said Joe Corbin, president and CEO of Jumpmind. "With Jumpmind Commerce, they will be able to better meet the needs of their customers today and tomorrow. We are exceptionally proud of the confidence that The Paper Store has shown in us and are looking forward to building a high-value partnership with The Paper Store and the Anderson family."
Based in Acton, Mass., The Paper Store is a specialty retailer offering a selection of gifts, fashion, and home decor products. The retailer operates over 100 locations across the Northeast U.S.
American Eagle upgrades POS system in stores
In another recent retailer effort to improve store-level operations, American Eagle replaced its existing POS solution at all American Eagle and Aeire stores with the Jumpmind Commerce POS software system. AEO plans to leverage the platform’s web user experience feature and microservices architecture to enable custom deployment and streamlined modification or upgrade, as needed.
In late 2022, AEO completed the conversion to Jumpmind Commerce POS in all of its American Eagle and Aerie stores in the U.S., with international deployment set for this year.
