The digitally native intimates and activewear brand, known for its inclusive sizing and body positivity messaging, has opened a location in Philadelphia. Located on Walnut Street in Rittenhouse Square, the store joins ThirdLove’s eight other brick-and-mortar sites.
ThirdLove teamed up with Leap, which offers brands a turnkey platform for expanding in physical retail, for its Philly outpost. The Leap platform handles everything from leasing, technology and staffing to day-to-day operations for brands. It leverages millions of first- and third-party data points to determine where it should deploy stores and which brands are most likely to be successful in which locations.
“This is part of the formula behind ThirdLove becoming the first national intimates brand to open in Philadelphia since Victoria's Secret, and the selection of the Rittenhouse Square location,” a spokesperson for Leap said.
Leap has additional plans for other brands in the Philadelphia market during the next 12 months, with a store planned at King of Prussia Mall and additional stores planned in the Rittenhouse neighborhood.
In September, mall giant Simon announced it was teaming up with Leap to open multiple stores at its properties for direct-to-consumer brands. To start, Simon and Leap are planning to open four stores at Simon centers located in California and Florida.
Leap currently is powering 60 brands across nearly 100 stores in markets that include New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Southern Florida, Dallas, Austin, Scottsdale, San Francisco, Boston, Columbus, Greenwich, and Washington, D.C. In addition to ThirdLove, Leap has worked with brands that include Birdies, Mack Weldon, Naadam, Something Navy, Lunya and, most recently, Hanky Panky.
