  • Restoration Hardware IPO to raise about $120 million

    Corte Madera, Calif. -- Restoration Hardware Holdings Inc. is expected to raise about $120 million from its Initial Public Offering, should it sell the 5.2 million shares at between $22 and $24 each that the retailer said it is expecting to sell.

    Restoration Hardware will sell 4.9 million shares in the offering, according to a Reuters report, while selling stockholders will sell the rest.

     

  • The Finish Line selects Oracle solutions to support growth strategy

    Redwood Shores, Calif. -- As part of a larger initiative to upgrade the customer experience and localize offerings in its 640 stores nationwide. The Finish Line will roll out new Oracle Retail merchandising, planning, stores and CRM solutions. The athletic-goods retailer is leveraging Oracle’s cloud computing services in the process.

    The Finish Line will use the integrated retail systems to tailor offerings to customer and regional preferences.  

  • RadioShack loss widens as market challenges continue

    FORT WORTH, Texas — RadioShack reported that total sales for its third quarter were $1 billion, compared with $1.03 billion last year. Comparable-store sales were down 1.6%.

    The retailer reported a net loss of $47 million, or 47 cents per diluted share, compared with net income of $0.3 million last year.

  • Pacific Sunwear and Demandware launch multichannel commerce solution

    Burlington, Mass. -- E-commerce solution-provider Demandware said Monday that Pacific Sunwear of California has launched Demandware’s Multichannel Commerce Solution, powered by the Demandware Commerce platform, across its web, mobile and tablet channels as well as its brick-and-mortar stores.

    Pacific Sunwear replaced its legacy platform with the new cloud-based platform.

  • Samsung launches cannister vacuums in the U.S.

    RIDGEFIELD PARK, N.J. — Samsung Electronics America has launched its cannister vacuums in the United States. The three new models feature reduced noise levels and innovative ergonomic design.

    According to the company, the innovative airflow design reduces excessive noise, cutting down on the roaring vacuum sounds that can disturb everyone in the house. The units also feature unique design components with a carrying handle.

  • NRF not pleased with swipe fee settlement

    WASHINGTON — A revised antitrust settlement on the issue of credit card swipe fees doesn't go far enough, The National Retail Federation said Friday. 

  • Cole acquires three retail centers for $130.9 million

    Phoenix -- Cole Real Estate Investments said it has purchased three retail power centers totaling about 875,000 sq. ft. for $130.9 million.

    The acquired properties are Hillside Town Center, a 165,000-sq.-ft. center in Hillside, Ill., for $27 million; White Oak Village, a 433,500-sq.-ft. property in Richmond, Va., for $68 million; and Barrow Crossing, a 276,000-sq.-ft. center in Winder, Ga., for $35.9 million. Barrow Crossing is a joint venture with Faison, the original developer of the property.
