Zumiez sales up in Sept.

Everett, Wash. Zumiez announced that total net sales for the five-week period ended Oct. 3 increased 8.4% to $36.5 million, compared with $33.6 million in the same period from the year before.

Meanwhile, same-store sales decreased 0.8% in September compared with a decrease of 9.0% in the year-ago period.

For the nine-week period ended Oct. 3, the company's same-store sales decreased 7.7% compared with a 3.6% decrease in the same period last year.
