Zumiez sales down in Q4, up for the year

Everett, Wash. Zumiez reported that its total net sales for the fourth quarter ended Jan. 31, decreased 0.9% to $125.5 million, from $126.6 million in the quarter ended Feb. 2, 2008.

The company posted net income for the quarter of $6.3 million, compared with $12.4 million last year. Same-store sales decreased 13.4%.

Total net sales for fiscal 2008 increased 7.1% to $408.7 million, from $381.4 million. The company posted net income of $17.2 million, compared with $25.3 million in the prior year. Same-store sales decreased 6.5%.
