A cool store from a cooler (literally) and drinkwear company, Yeti’s first physical outpost celebrates the fast-growing brand, which is known for standing up to the harshest conditions.
The 8,000-sq.-ft. flagship seeks to inspire visitors to go out and enjoy the wild — a core tenant of Yeti — through experiential installations that immense customers in the outdoors. More than a store, the space includes an indoor-outdoor bar, a stage for live events, and a product customization counter where shoppers can personalize their Yeti gear.
Displays, exhibits and video bring the brand to life. The eye-catching showpieces, which include a 750-lb. stuffed bear, a grill once owned by the founder of the famed Franklin Barbecue, and several decorative sharks suspended from the ceiling, are all intended to showcase the brand as a go-to for outdoor enthusiasts. Yeti historical artifacts, including prized possession from the 12-year-old company’s colorful founders, are also found throughout.
The store design process was a collaboration between Yeti brand agency McGarrah-Jessee, architecture firm Lake|Flato, and retail design firm lauckgroup.
"Together with Yeti’s expert marketing team, our group brought the brand to life with a host of immersive experiences that embody Yeti’s 'never settle' philosophy,” said Stephanie Long, associate principal at lauckgroup.
