3/16/2015

Trendy pet retailer Kriser's is opening another store in the Houston market as it blazes a trail of expansion across middle America.

The California-based retailer, which is known as the “Whole Foods for pets,” specializes in natural pet food, supplies and grooming and has grown to 26 locations since 2006. The company will host a grand opening at its fourth Houston-area location on March 28. Kriser’s opened three other stores in Hoston in 2014. "Kriser's is ecstatic to continue our mission of helping pets live happier, healthier lives, naturally, in the Woodlands," said Brad Kriser, CEO and founder.

"We strive to provide pet parents with the tools and resources needed to support a natural lifestyle for their furry family members. Our growth is an exciting opportunity to carry on this tradition and become a resource for area pet parents."

Kriser's plans to offer a number of activities and promotions throughout the grand opening weekend in Houston, including:

  • free pet ID tags

  • giveaways

  • free pet nail trimmings

  • free pet photography

  • in-store raffles for store grooming gift certificates

Kriser's has been recognized with multiple national honors for its excellence in the pet industry, most recently with the Best Overall Pet Retailer at the 2015 Global Pet Expo.

Founded by lifelong pet owner and healthy pet advocate Brad Kriser, the company has opened 26 locations in four markets – Chicagoland, Denver, Southern California and Houston – all based on a model of educating consumers and providing an unparalleled shopping experience and a clean and inviting store area.
