Amazon is ramping up its integration of Whole Foods Markets in a big way.
The online giant expanded its Prime member savings program to an additional 121 Whole Foods Market stores across 12 states, as well as across all Whole Foods Market 365 stores nationwide. Starting May 30, Prime members that shop at these locations will receive an additional 10% off sale items, typically hundreds of products throughout the store, plus exclusive weekly deep discounts on select popular items, according to Amazon.
The discounts are currently available at Whole Foods stores in Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, Kansas, Kansas City, Missouri, Louisiana, New Mexico, northern Nevada, northern California, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and at Whole Foods Market 365 stores nationwide. Prime member deals will be prominently featured in store. Customers can also go to the Whole Foods Market app to browse offers.
Prime member savings also apply to groceries delivered from Whole Foods Market stores via Prime Now, a service that offers free two-hour delivery on orders over $35. The new discount and Prime Now grocery delivery are available in Austin, Dallas, Denver, Sacramento and San Francisco, according to the online giant.
Earlier this year, the companies launched free two-hour delivery on Whole Foods Market groceries through Prime Now in
10 cities. The service will be introduced in more more cities throughout 2018.
Amazon began introducing the new Prime member perks
earlier this month. They are replacing benefits initially offered through Whole Foods’ year-old rewards program that was discontinued on May 2.
The e-commerce company is also rewarding Prime members that have an Amazon Prime Rewards Visa Card with 5% Back on Whole Foods Market purchases when using the card. Non-Prime members that have the Visa card are entitled to 3% back at Whole Foods and on all Amazon purchases.
