West Elm heads to the Show-Me State
BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Home furnishings retailer West Elm is heading to the Midwest and getting set to open its first-ever retail store in St. Louis, Mo., Thursday, July 25.
The 8,385-sq.-ft. store will be located in the St. Louis Galleria and feature the brand’s fall assortment of furniture, home décor, gifts and artist collaborations, the latter of which will include pottery from Carla Peters and bedding from textile designer Sarah Campbell. The store will also feature handcrafted items sourced through Etsy, designed by eight local artists who specialize in everything from photography to bamboo flatware.
“Our customers are as passionate about supporting artists in their local communities as we are at West Elm,” said Jim Brett, president of West Elm. “We are proud to be incorporating some of St. Louis’ most talented artists into the assortment for our new store.”
To celebrate the store opening, West Elm is hosting a sweepstakes offering potential shoppers a chance to win a $2,000 gift card. The deadline to enter the sweepstakes is July 21.
