Wal-Mart Sales Stay on Track
Chicago, According to a Reuters report, Wal-Mart affirmed a 2% to 4% increase in October sales at most U.S. stores, confirming a forecast it gave just two days earlier.
The world’s biggest retailer said grocery demand outpaced sales of general merchandise, and the West was its strongest region.
Wal-Mart also said that 13 stores remain closed from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
