Wal-Mart makes move on new weight loss pill
BENTONVILLE, Ark. Wal-Mart is making a move to become the first retailer of alli, the only FDA approved, over-the-counter weight loss product. The company said it began selling the product in many of its stores on June 13 and that by June 15, alli will be available in all Wal-Mart stores across the U.S. With this initiative, Wal-Mart said it hopes to achieve price leadership in every market and to be the first to have the product in stores. Wal-Mart’s pricing for alli ranges from $40 to $60, depending on the size purchased.
