Valpak vets join Sterling Payment Technologies
William Disbrow and Jim Sampey, former executives with Valpak/Cox Target Media, have joined Sterling Payment Technologies to grow Sterling’s loyalty products and a mobile initiative branded as Perkz.
Disbrow and Sampey were both longtime former executives at Valpak/Cox Target Media who held C-level positions.
"At Sterling, our goal is to bring leading-edge products to market that help businesses become more profitable and efficient," said Paul Hunter, Sterling’s president and CEO. “Many merchants are seeking innovative programs that combine loyalty with payment solutions to help them compete. Payment and loyalty will continue to become more intertwined in the future. We look forward to working with Bill and Jim, both with impressive track records in sales, marketing and operations, as Sterling develops new industry innovations.”
Disbrow first served as president, then CEO during his 21-year career at Valpak Direct Marketing Systems, Inc. and its parent company, Cox Target Media.
Sampey spent 22 years at Valpak/Cox Target Media, in a variety of roles, including president and COO and led the company’s sales and marketing teams.
According to Sterling, the Perkz mobile product the two executives will be responsible for growing, is a comprehensive suite of acquisition and retention services with a seamless, simple yet powerful user experience between the consumer and the merchant. Perkz is said to be an all-encompassing loyalty product that includes web and smartphone customer enrollment pages, custom marketing collateral, professionally designed e-mail templates, easy online management, and comprehensive online reporting that provides merchants with the ability to measure the program’s success.
