Target routinely promotes games and gaming systems in its weekly ads, and now it is using those same ads to encourage customers to “check out [its] new gaming area!” The electronics departments in select stores have been remodeled, and an element of the remodeling program involves the addition of trial stations integrated into end-caps. The new feature adds visual interest and energy to a department where Target had allowed its store experience to slip relative to such competitors as Best Buy and Walmart.
