Trend Tracker: Let your salad ‘Live a Little’

Previously available only in limited markets and online, Virginia’s Live A Little gourmet salad dressing is launching at Cost Plus in Lemon Caesar, Ginger Sesame and Bold Balsamic varieties (pictured).

Virginia’s difference, said Live A Little executive chef, president and founder Virginia Davis, is homemade flavor and an emphasis on using the dressing as part of preparation for a variety of foods. Lemon Caesar can dress up chicken, Ginger Sesame might perk up pasta and Bold Balsamic could add punch to pork.

Davis broke into the gourmet food business with Perfect Croutons in 1997, followed by Real Caesar Dressing. The Virginia’s dressing line now offers 10 flavors.
