Toys'R'Us releases top Christmas toy list
WAYNE, N.J. Toys"R"Us has announced its top toy predictions for Christmas, with "High School Musical," "Hannah Montana," "Ben 10," In The Night Garden and Nintendo Wii expected to be topping Christmas wish lists this year.
The retailer will be offering top toys at lower prices this holiday season for cash-strapped consumers. "Toys'R'Us is the only real toy store for kids this Christmas, with most stores displaying an acre of child-pleasing excitement," stated marketing director Mike Coogan. "With the biggest choice of toys and the lowest prices, there are simply no other stores entirely devoted to toys on a nationwide basis ... the 'WOW' factor makes a big difference to children and their parents."
This year's list sees many traditional toys, but with a licensing twist. Technology toys and gadgets also will be prominent this year, as will video games and consoles. Bikes will again be in high demand, as well, along with trikes, go-karts and battery-powered vehicles. "Let's face it, you can buy adult bikes for less than a tank of fuel," said Coogan.
"This year, more than ever, our stores will create the magic of Christmas so shopping will be a fun experience," said Coogan. "Our customers will find many of their favorite toys at lower prices than previous years as we strive to deliver outstanding value as well as the biggest choice of Christmas gifts for all the family."
