TigerDirect is encouraging consumers to unleash their inner geek with 18th annual PC Race.
The retailer has partnered with Intel to host the competition, which is set to kick off at QuakeCon 2015 in Dallas from July 23 to July 26. The first contestant to assemble and boot their high performance PCs in each regional race will win an all expenses paid trip to Miami to compete in the National Finals on Nov. 6 during Tech Bash.
"Kicking off this year's PC Race at QuakeCon and finishing off at Tech Bash in Marlins Park, ensures that this year's series will be at amazing venues from start to finish," said Steven Leeds, Director of Marketing at TigerDirect. "As one of the largest gatherings of PC enthusiasts in the country, the venue offers the ideal environment for our contestants and spectators."
Tech Bash is the largest consumer electronics expo and trade show on the east coast. Open to the public, last years' event attracted over 18,000 attendees.
The top three finishers will receive a TigerDirect gift card and a donation to the charity of their choice.
Known as a PC gaming haven, QuakeCon plays host to one of the largest LAN parties in the world, with thousands of gamers flocking to Dallas every year to hang out for three days straight, play games and participate in all-night tournaments.
