Tervis, Coconut Grove, Fla.

1/3/2013

Tervis, the company best known for its virtually unbreakable, insulated tumblers, has launched a new store design that reflects its updated image. The brand, whose products can be personalized to any interest or occasion, underwent a major rebranding in 2011 and is now translating the image to brick-and-mortar stores.

With vibrant colors that mimic the Tervis logo, bright lighting, and whimsical décor, the new design is fun and inviting, with an informal, casual ambience. (The design is credited to the company’s in-house design team and Retail Design Services, Bel Air, Md.). References to the product are featured throughout, including the blue iridescent flooring that resembles ice cubes floating in a beverage.

White and clear plexiglass shelving and two-tier tabletops serve as an understated backdrop to the colorful Tervis drinkware and its thousands of designs and variety of products. The checkout counter stands out with its bold yellow counter emblazoned with the backlit Tervis logo. Behind the counter, additional backlit signage highlights the brand’s benefits, including its famous lifetime guarantee.

Tervis currently operates some 16 stores, and the company is expanding its reach.

“It’s important for us to exemplify the ’Always Full of Fun’ attitude,” said Lynn Kisser, VP stores, Tervis. “By opening new stores, we hope to continue to fuel the excitement of the Tervis brand.”
