TekservePOS raises donations through Amazing Retail Race event

Hoffman Estates, Ill. POS solution-provider TekservePOS announced that the kick-off event to its annual conference raised $12,000 in merchandise to benefit a Chicago-area charity.

TekservePOS launched tekSessions 2009, the company’s annual Retail Technology Conference, with a version of television show The Amazing Race. Teams made up of retailers, vendors and company employees raced through Chicago’s Woodfield Mall, purchased specific items on a list and finished at an undisclosed location.

TekservePOS and its employees filled in any gaps on the list to reach a total of over $12,000 in merchandise benefiting the LYDIA Home/Safe Families of Chicago.
