Target raises $12.8 million for schools

Minneapolis Target Corp. announced Wednesday that its Take Charge of Education school fundraising initiative has provided more than $12.8 million in funding to schools nationwide this year.

In its 12th year, Take Charge of Education has donated more than $273 million to more than 100,000 schools nationwide.

Target shoppers designate a school to receive a retailer donation based on a percentage of the purchase.
