''As Seen on TV'' franchise names exec team


SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. Sandstrom OnTV Company has announced the appointment of its executive team, which will based at the company’s new worldwide corporate headquarters in Scottsdale, Ariz.

The company’s executive team includes Tim McCarthy, vp of franchise development, who brings more than 20 years experience in the franchise industry, including positions with Coldstone Creamery, Nordic Track and UPS. In his new position, McCarthy will manage all franchise sales. Additional executives named include Thomas DeGarmo, Jr., director of creative services, and Megan Helgerson, director of training. DeGarmo, a seasoned graphic designer whose career includes tenures with national corporations including Healthways and Dermacare Laser & Skincare, will head the company’s creative services. Helgerson will manage Sandstrom’s “As Seen University,” following a successful 10-year career in property management corporate training.

Slated to open 150 stores in the domestic U.S. market over the next three years, Sandstrom will launch its nationwide franchise rollout plan in the coming weeks. Sandstrom is a new retail outlet franchise that takes a fresh, stylish and innovative approach to “As Seen on TV” merchandise. Bringing the most celebrated products sold on TV to customers’ fingertips, Sandstrom will offer practical everyday-use products within contemporary, pop impresario-designed stores.
