Sears Testing Internet Cafes

6/9/2006

Chicago, Sears Holdings Corp. is testing Internet lounges to lure more shoppers, according to a report by Crain’s Chicago Business. The retailer opened Internet cafes in about 12 Sears Grand locations, as well as in a couple of Sears stores. The strategy has worked well at such chains as Starbucks and Apple.
