Sears helps vets at home

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Sears announced that it is launching its fourth annual Heroes at Home spring renovation campaign with Rebuilding Together, a nonprofit working to preserve affordable homeownership. Sears said that with the help of Rebuilding Together, it expects torenovate more than 300 homes across the country as part of the Heroes at Home program, which aims to improve American military families' lives by making necessary repairs, improvements or modifications to their homes.

The company said customers can support the program by making a donation at any Sears storenationwide or online at sears.com/heroesathome hrough July 16.

"Our military veterans, service members and their families are the backbone to this country," said David Friedman, SVP and president marketing, Sears Holdings. "At Sears, we not only stand behind all that our military members do but look to provide for them through programs like Heroes at Home. These efforts help ensure that our military members and their families can retain their jobs and remain comfortably in their homes, which we could not do without the volunteer support and donations from our customers and associates."
