Sears Canada battles rising prices with summer sales
TORONTO In response to concerns over high gas prices and rising costs, Sears Canada has announced on-going competitive promotions on summer products to help make the season affordable for its customers.
Throughout the spring/summer season, the retailer will offer must-have items at competitive prices through various promotions, beginning with a 3-day sale on Friday, May 16 that will encompass merchandise in fashion, home decor and other categories.
"With gas prices at all-time highs, Canadians do not need to go the U.S. to find items at more affordable prices," stated Dene Rogers, president and ceo of Sears Canada. "With Sears' new seasonal offers, they won't have to look beyond their neighborhood Sears.
"We recognize how the changing economy affects Canadian families," continued Rogers, "and we are doing our part to ensure that we provide our customers with what they want and need to have a great summer."
