Rite Aid reports 0.5% same-store sales boost for April
CAMP HILL, Pa. Rite Aid announced a same-store sales increase of 0.5% over 2007 for the four weeks ended April 26, 2008.
Pharmacy same-store sales increased 1.8% and front-end same-store sales decreased 1.7%. The numbers were impacted by the early Easter holiday, which helped boost sales for March, but negatively affected April sales.
Total revenue for the month increased 46.9% to $2 billion, compared to $1.4 billion for the same period last year.
