Report: Victoria's Secret got a little too sexy

COLUMBUS, Ohio Victoria's Secret ceo, Sharen Turney, said the company has gotten to sexy has moved to far from its roots, according to reports. Speaking on a call to industry analysts, Turney reportedly said the company has strayed from its ultra feminine heritage.

Turney reportedly told analysts that Victoria's Secret has overplayed the "sexy" concept. The company's usage of the word include the Very Sexy collection and the "What is sexy?" campaign. The company even recently released its winners for the "sexiest" people in a variety of categories such as "sexiest male musician."

The sexy idea is far from the tradition of sophistication, which according to reports, Turney said Victoria's Secret has moved away from in an effort to attract younger consumers.

Victoria's Secret's parent company Limited Brands reported net sales of $3.3 billion for the quarter, compared to $4 billion last year, and a comparable-store sales for the quarter decreased 8%.
