Amazon could be giving Prime members another reason to shop at Whole Foods Market.
The natural foods grocers conducted a limited test of marketing mate-rial in one store in Austin, Texas, that promoted a 10% discount for Prime members, according to
CNBC.
According to the report, one banner targeted Amazon Prime members, revealing that "blue signs mean special deals just for you, yes you." Another said that Prime members save an extra 10% off "hundreds of sale prices.”
However, the retailer is not yet ready to officially introduce the pro-gram. The banners were hung late Wednesday in the store and were removed by Thursday morning, the report said.
While a Whole Foods spokesman didn’t deny the test, he told
CNBC that the signs are not being tested at any stores.
