Red Mango to expand in Atlanta

Dallas Frozen yogurt retailer Red Mango said Wednesday it will begin awarding franchise agreements in Atlanta as part of a national expansion campaign.

Recently honored with Nation's Restaurant News' 2009 "Hot Concepts!" award, the company plans to open about 20 stores in the area over the next five years.

To date, the retailer has a commitment from franchisees to open 209 locations. Red Mango launched its franchise program earlier this year.

Red Mango opened its first store in Los Angeles in July 2007 and has grown to almost 60 locations across 14 states.
