Read more, pay less for Kindle
Amazon.com cut the price on its popular Kindle e-reader device, which it is now selling for $189. That’s down from $259 just a few weeks ago when Target began offering the device at $259 as the exclusive bricks and mortar retailer. The product was first featured in Target’s circular for the week of June 13 where it was positioned along with other electronics items as Father’s Day gift and prominently merchandised on end-caps in the electronics department. The Kindle was again featured in this week’s circular at $259, but on Monday it was priced at $189 on Target.com, even though the product is only available in stores.
